Ideally wear comfortable loose-fitting clothes like tracksuit bottoms, shorts or leggings, and ideally a strappy top or t-shirt to allow access to the area we will be working on.
You may need to dress down further, if your injury or treatment requires it, but that will be advised during the consultation.
This depends on the nature of your appointment, but if your issue is injury based then our practitioner will sit down with you and take a full medical case history, discussing your reason for seeing us and delving into your past history of injury and illness. This allows us to create a full and comprehensive picture of how your injury has occurred.
You will then be taken through an examination, active movements and any specialist testing or provocation testing required to identify the route cause of the problem.
We will then discuss our hypothesis in plain and simple language, we believe education and understanding to be a foundational pillar of good rehabilitation. A treatment proposal will then be outlined for you.
If you are happy and it is deemed safe to treat you, your first treatment will occur immediately.
You will be reassessed at the end of your treatment and given your prescribed rehabilitation plan and details of how to book your follow up appointment.
We do not deal with insurance companies. We find they are too restrictive at the expense of patient care and do not allow us to offer the level of service our clinic is known for.
